With our chosen name in hand, it's time to embark on shaping our business venture. We have been there and done that. So we can help you through some of the hoops that need to be jumped through to get your business off the ground. It is always easier with someone who has been there.
Our team, drawing on personal and professional experiences, has a deep affinity for the reseller community. Among us, one has walked the path of a reseller, while the others have dedicated years to supporting this vibrant group. This shared passion was further ignited by a conversation with our friend Joe, a fellow reseller. He introduced us to the term "Renaissance Souls," inspired by Margaret Lobenstine's book "The Renaissance Soul: How To Make Your Passions Your Life". Lobenstine describes these individuals as those who resist confinement to a single pursuit, constantly seeking new endeavors and challenges. This trait resonates with us and mirrors the spirit of many we encounter in the reselling realm. The idea of repetitive desk jobs feels alien to us, as we thrive on diversity and innovation.
In our view, the reselling community is diverse, comprising three distinct segments: Small Professional Resellers, Micro Sellers, and Bargain Hunter Sellers.
Small Professional Resellers dive deep into the business, often dealing in bulk purchases like trailer or pallet loads. They typically have a substantial team, possibly exceeding 20 members, and might operate out of a storefront or warehouse. Their sales channels are predominantly online, utilizing platforms such as eBay, Amazon, and sometimes their own websites hosted on platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, or Weebly.
Micro Sellers, on the other hand, are the daring entrepreneurs who commit fully, scouring the city for deals to sell independently or with a small circle of employees, friends, or neighbors. This group exemplifies courage, relying on this venture as their primary income source. Their sales outlets often include eBay, Facebook Marketplace, local classifieds like KSL, and, for those specializing in fashion, platforms like ThredUp, RealReal, Poshmark, and Mercari.
Then there are the Bargain Hunter Sellers, who approach reselling more casually, often as a side hustle or hobby. They excel in negotiation, whether in stores or online, to snag the best deals. Typically, they focus on specific niches or categories, dealing in smaller quantities.
What binds these groups is their collective passion for the hunt and the joy of uncovering exceptional deals. They thrive on sharing these finds, often offering unbeatable prices on platforms like eBay. Limited by budget constraints, they lean towards existing tools and platforms for IT and software needs, generally avoiding the hefty investment in storefronts or software development.
Our mission is to empower these resellers with our comprehensive suite of products, services, and expertise. We provide products to Micro Sellers. Also leveraging our background in software development, design, salvage, auctions, and liquidation, we're here to assist, whether it's through building a website, guiding you in site construction, managing your digital presence, inventory, listings, or auctions.
If you find yourself within these reselling categories, we're eager to support your journey towards success.
