Saf-T Vent CI Plus is an AL29-4C superferritic stainless steel conduit with a one-inch air space and a type 430 stainless steel outer jacket. It is ideal for close clearance installation within building chases. Combines the tight fit of the tapered male and female expands with a patented* closure system which consists of tabs and a locking strap. The locking strap provides a mechanical connection between the two assembled sections. It also serves to pull together the two pieces, making a pressure-tight assembly. The locking strap is tightened from a single location using a simple hand tool. This single-point fastening system allows one installer to complete an assembly without rotating the sections or rotating himself around the sections. The double-wall construction allows for an insulating blanket of 1" air space between the inner wall and the outer wall. This air insulation has the advantage of keeping the flue gases warmer as well as making the skin temperature of the outer wall cooler. The reduced skin temperature allows the product to be installed in closer proximity to combustible materials.
